Godfrey Chapples Limited have a wealth of experience and knowledge in all matters concerning planning and project management.
For many years Godfrey Chapples has been involved with the community. During Godfrey’s time as a borough councillor at Woking Borough Council in Surrey he held numerous positions including Chairman of Highways and Traffic Management, Vice Chairman of Local Plan and Leisure Service Committees as well as serving on committees representing planning and housing.
Prior to being elected to Woking Borough Council he directed his own Housing Development company which involved land acquisition, planning and appeals and liaison with Planning and Engineering Consultants, Officers and Members of Local and Regional Authorities and Government Officials.
From the 1960's Godfrey has been a major driving force in the planning and development of over 1,000 dwellings in the UK in areas such as Beaconsfield, High Wycombe, Marlow and Huntingdon.More recently he has been responsible for the development of a country club in Devon and a holiday village in Cornwall. He continues to be a major influence on the involvement of a large planning organisation in over 60 sites around the UK worth over £400M.
During the latter part of the 1990’s and over the past six years Godfrey has concentrated upon the planning perspective and this has included land search, acquisition, planning application and appeal activities.
More recently, the advent of the Local Development Framework replacing the existing Local Plan has meant working more closely with Local Authorities and The Planning Inspectorate to seek various land parcels for inclusion within the new envelope of The Local Development Framework.
